Silver Gelatin Photogram. This image emerges from my role as caregiver during my mother’s terminal illness. Through learning to give fluids and injections, take vitals, and track oxygen levels, I became intimately familiar with the tools of her care. I collected this medical paraphernalia to construct an image of her torso—the physical center of both illness and devotion.
