TERMS AND CONDITIONS

WHO MAY ENTER
B&W is open to all amateur and professional photographers worldwide. Entrants should be at least 18 years old at the date of entry.

HOW TO ENTER
To enter B&W Photo Awards please visit blackandwhitephotoawards.art to register. Simply log onto the website and follow the online instructions to upload images from your computer. When your submission has been completed, you will get an e-mail confirmation.

FILE SIZES
Image files should be uploaded to the site as JPG with 1500 pixels along the longest length and 72dpi. Please do not include watermarks, borders or signatures on your entry.

CONTEST PRIZES

Cash prizes will be paid in USD (US Dollars) via PayPal. Any fees incurred for foreign currency transfers will be deducted from the winning amount.

JUDGING
Entries will be judged by a nominated jury. A panel of experts in photography will each review all entries and select a group of winning entries on the basis of creativity, artistic merit, subject and style.

COPYRIGHTS
Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer.

USAGE RIGHTS
Images will be used strictly in connection to the awards and will not be used for any other marketing purposes other than to promote Black And White Photo Awards, on the website http://www.blackandwhitephotoawards.art and on the social networks dedicated to the contest (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter).

WINNERS LIST
Winners' names will be available online at blackandwhitephotoawards.art no later than 21th April 2024.

FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a limit to the number of photos that I can enter ?

Yes, you are limited to 7 photos maximum per series. If you want to submit more photos you can choose the extended serie wich extends the limit to 15 photos maximum. But you can enter an unlimited number of series or single entry.

How can I pay my entry fees ?

You can pay by PayPal or Credit/Debit Card (via PayPal). All payments are processed in EUR currency.

Is there a time limit on when the photograph was taken ?

There are no restrictions.

Can I enter images that I have entered in other competitions ?

Yes, images entered in other competitions are eligible.

Can I enter an image that has been published ?

Both published and unpublished work is accepted

Are digital adjustments allowed ?

Photoshop and post processing techniques are allowed, although within reason and taste.

What is considered as a series ?

A series consists of at least 5 and no more than 7 or 15 images (depending on if you choose to submit an extended serie or not), sharing a common theme and a single title. Series will be judged as an entire piece.
