Médaille de bronze dans la catégorie « Argentique »

A country mainly, and mistakenly, known for its postcard-like landscapes, Switzerland is also a crossroad of multiple cultures, a mix of peoples with often unknown traditions, characterized by surprising contrasts. It is my homeland and I daily observe it with a curious, ironic, affectionate, critical, astonished, disenchanted, satirical, somewhat detached gaze. Disillusioned too? Sometimes… With my panoramic film camera, I discover the imperfections of this (almost) idyllic world, where happiness seems to be an obligation, an obvious everyday item, at least on the surface. It is the so called “Heile Welt” as the German speaking people use to call it, the perfectly safe world we all dream of but we innerly do not want to attain: too boring maybe but nevertheless a little scary.
