My friend and I were playing with shapes in the crystal clear waters of Apo Reef, in the Phillipines. We are both freedivers. Shooting underwater grants you the gift of buoyancy. I love exploring this freedom to be weightless, creating moments that aren’t possible on land. Holding onto her fins to create a circle, we got the shot. However, it was in this split second of effortlessness as she let go, that unexpectedly became the moment. Head up to the surface, bathing in the sunlight as it danced upon her skin, like an acrobatic show on one breath, full of beauty and grace.
