Médaille de bronze dans la catégorie « Underwater »

I was attending Deep Week in Coron, Philippines. It’s a freediving festival where divers from all over the world come to train together for the week. This is a group shot of some divers doing the bizarre ‘crab dance’ underwater, except for one lone diver who missed the memo. I enjoy experimenting with shapes, patterns, ambiguity - to challenge the viewer’s perception of underwater photography. Akin to a painter’s canvas that’s typically more abstract and illustrative, I want to spark curiosity and deep thought whilst immersing myself in the big blue.
