Médaille d'or dans la catégorie « Nature Morte »
In this fast moving world, where there’s too much of everything, I try to stay positive,
think logically, do what feels right during my time on ‘our’ Earth.
The pandemic years helped me reduce my footprint even more.
When human contact was forbidden, I began searching for objects that triggered something inside me,
focusing only on things from nature, used objects, or waste.
It was then that I realized the most beautiful gems can be found just around the corner.
Once I started seeing, I couldn’t stop looking.
Whether they’re photogenic or not is only confirmed when the shot is taken.
Behind the camera, the search begins. I observe every object down to the last detail, seeking beauty,
and at the same time, something unfamiliar.
The way of photographing, so intimate, sometimes plays tricks on your mind.
That’s what I love about it: when you look at the final image, it doesn’t immediately reveal what it is,
and you can use your own imagination.
These are all objects of nature, slowly decaying.
It’s as if they’re being brought back to life.
The beauty of nature's transience.
