Urban photography is a huge playground for me to experiment with lines, surfaces, shapes and structures - or, in general, with geometric elements of image composition. The omission of colour, i.e. classic black and white photography, helps to reduce the image content and focus the image statement. Symmetries and unusual perspectives sometimes set special accents.
Then, as an additional aspect, usually as an eye-catcher, one ore more persons come into the picture. People, usually only recognisable as a shadow or silhouette, give the picture vibrancy and the building its size.
